Al Skinner out at Boston College

The coach who at sometimes people thought was clueless finally got fired yesterday after 13 seasons and it is about time because he was one of the worst recruiters ACC. Skinner is the winningest coach in school history, with a 247-165 record and seven NCAA tournament berths since 2001. But BC has finished below .500 in two of the last three seasons with a first-round loss in the ACC tournament this year. The University owes him 3 million over the next three years. The Eagles (15-16, 6-10 ACC) missed the postseason as they struggled to replace all-ACC guard Tyrese Rice. and another reason he got fired was because he was talking to St. Johns even though Steve Lavin is slated to get the coaching job this week. Skinner along with Bobby Gonzalez and Todd Lickliter will all be looking for jobs in these next few weeks
